Hardwood and LVP flooring in Aloha, OR
Hardwood and LVP flooring for Aloha homes
Aloha is an unincorporated community in Washington County, between Beaverton and Hillsboro. It is mostly suburban neighborhoods, which means plenty of ordinary family homes and plenty of everyday wear on the floors.
In busy homes like these, the question is often hardwood or LVP. Hardwood can be refinished more than once, while LVP is water-resistant and easy to care for. We install both, so you hear both sides.
We also refinish existing hardwood and repair water damage in Aloha. Tell us about the room and we will send a free quote.

Popular flooring projects in Aloha
Four projects Aloha homeowners ask about most, with LVP and installation first.
LVP Flooring
Water-resistant and easy to care for, usually floated as a click-lock over a flat, prepared subfloor. A practical pick for kitchens, entries and busy family rooms.
See the service →Floor Installation
We choose the install method to fit your floor: nail-down over a wood subfloor, glue-down on concrete, or a floating click-lock, with glue plus nails for some wide planks.
See the service →Refinishing
Hardwood that is still solid but looks tired can be sanded to bare wood, stained if you like, and finished again.
See the service →Water Damage Repair
We find cupped or damaged boards with a moisture meter, dry the area with dehumidifiers and fans, and lace in new boards to match. We do insurance work on hardwood floors.

Why homeowners call
Why Aloha homeowners call us
Choosing between hardwood and LVP is easier with someone who does both.
Both options, plainly explained
Hardwood gives you a floor that can be refinished later. LVP is water-resistant and low maintenance. We lay out what each means for your rooms, then quote either.
LVP needs a flat floor
Click-lock planks float over the subfloor, so it has to be flat. We look for high and low spots and level them first, whether that means grinding concrete, sanding high spots or building up low spots with wood.
Moisture is checked, not assumed
We take a moisture meter reading before every job. If readings are high we wait for the floor to dry, and on concrete we measure moisture and use sealers when needed.

Questions
Aloha flooring questions
Do you serve Aloha?
Yes, Aloha is one of our service areas. Text or call (503) 664-9525 with your address and we will arrange a free quote.
Is LVP waterproof?
LVP is water-resistant and handles spills and daily wear well, but we do not call it waterproof. Standing water and leaks still need to be dealt with quickly, and moisture coming from under the floor needs to be found and fixed.
Why do you check moisture before installing?
Flooring reacts to damp. If readings are high we wait for the floor to dry before installing, which helps prevent gaps and uneven boards later. New hardwood also acclimates for at least 7 days first.
